Keep moving forward

The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very rough, mean place.  No matter how tough you think you are,  it will always bring you to your knees and keep you there permanently, if you let it. You or nobody ain’t never gunna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you’re hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can you take and keep moving forward!  — Rocky Balboa

This week has been challenging in more ways than one.  Mentally, physically, and emotionally.

When life hands you lemons….

When the going gets tough….

When the sh*t hits the fan…

When the heat is on…

Whenever I think about quitting, hitting the snooze button, or giving up on myself… I count my blessings (big, small & in between), remember the people that have inspired me, think of those that I may inspire, suck it up, and give it my all.

Remember that you are strong.  Remember that what goes up, must go down… so what goes down must certainly go up 😉  Remember that tomorrow is another day & always remember to find a little inspiration!

My inspiration lately….

1) My sister’s text messages with her running updates.  She will run her very first 1/2 marathon in February, and I couldn’t be more excited to run it with her!!!!!!!

2) This darling little guy.  I am inspired by his smile, his laugh, his made up words, and his joy for life.  I live for text messages from my family about him & pictures/videos of him doing ridiculous things.

3) Making my family proud inspires me, every single day.

Remember when I got a little sentimental & showed you a text message from my Mom?  Well, this time it’s a card…

In it, my Mom wrote, “I’m so proud of you and the woman you’ve grown into…”  Man, sometimes that is just what you need to hear.

What/Who inspires you?

What do you think of when the going gets tough?

And now, I leave you with some serious food for thought.

XO,

CS
